After 7 years at the helm Fiona Morton of Ryden has stepped down as Chairperson of the IPF in Scotland. Following the recent AGM on 18th June Graham Sanders will take over as Chairman for the next 12 months with Paul Findlay installed as Vice Chairman. We obviously recognise the enormous contribution from Fiona during this period which has seen Scottish membership numbers rise from around 120 to well over 200. The composition of the Scottish Board moving forward is as follows :-- Graham Sanders, Sanders Cartwright (Chairman)
- Paul Findlay, Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (Vice Chair)
- Kenny Waitt, Jones Lang LaSalle
- Fiona Morton, Ryden
- Anne Breen, Standard Life
- Stuart Tait, Dundas & Wilson
- Roddy Elliott, RBS
- Grant Rawlinson, Torran Investments
- Scott Howie, Inglis Howie
Fiona Morton commented "IPF is an exceptional organisation and it has
been a great privilege to support the development of the resources and
ambition of the group directly to the members based in Scotland. It
has been a very rewarding and enjoyable role for me. I am confident
that the momentum of IPF Scotland
will be maintained and enhanced by a fresh approach under Graham's leadership
and look forward to remaining on the board."
Graham Sanders is a director of niche Glasgow based investment agency practice Sanders Cartwright. He observed that the IPF Scottish membership accounts for approximately 12% of the total IPF membership.
"The key to our success in Scotland is the continued provision of educational and networking events of a consistently high quality. These comprise the annual conference (now in its 6th year), at least 3 lunchtime seminars, the annual Summer Drinks Evening and free admission to IPD's annual results launch in February of each year.
Additionally, there is the abundance of valuable research and other publications on the IPF website, not least free Consensus Forecasting updated every 3 months. Go to www.ipf.org.uk .
For all those involved in Commercial Property Investment, the IPF provides a forum for networking, education and debate that would otherwise be sorely missed. We look forward to the next 12 months and to ensuring the continuation of quality events for the Scottish based IPF members."
